As political discourse becomes increasingly shaped by algorithms, outrage, and misinformation, many teenagers form their understanding of the world through sources that are either misleading or inaccessible. 

I’ve seen the opposite problem firsthand: accurate reporting often assumes a level of background knowledge that discourages young readers from engaging at all. 

Civic Unwrapped seeks to address this gaps as youth-run blog that translates complex current events into clear, factual, and accessible explainers—written for teens, by teens. 

Rather than offering opinion or oversimplification, the project prioritizes clarity, correctness, and civic understanding, making it easier for young people to engage thoughtfully with the issues shaping their lives.
